🌸 Introduction
A home is considered incomplete without a puja room — the sacred space where we connect with Bhagwan daily. In Sanatana Dharma, the puja room is not just a corner but the heart of the house, filled with divine energy. According to Vastu Shastra, proper placement and arrangement of the puja room ensures peace, prosperity, and spiritual growth.
✨ Puja Room Vastu Guidelines
-
Direction: The puja room should ideally be in the North-East (Ishan Kon) corner — considered the most auspicious.
-
Floor Level: It should be on the ground floor, not in the basement or above toilets.
-
Wall Colors: Use soothing shades like white, yellow, or light blue. Avoid dark or dull colors.
-
Lighting: Keep it well lit, with an Akhand Diya (eternal flame) if possible.
🌿 How to Arrange Puja Room at Home
-
Place idols/murtis on a clean wooden or marble platform.
-
Keep idols at least a few inches away from the wall for airflow.
-
Do not place broken or damaged idols.
-
Store puja samagri neatly — flowers, dhoop, kapoor, chandan, roli, etc.
-
Always sit facing east or north during worship.
🙏 Spiritual Takeaway
A puja room arranged with devotion and Vastu alignment becomes a spiritual powerhouse — filling the home with positivity and divine blessings.
